About Us
Bernard ThompsonBriefly about Bernard Thompson

He spent the past 30 years in and around the Advertising Industry helping companies to launch and or develop new products to meet the needs of their customers. The ISSUE Communications Company was founded on the knowledge gained from attacking other issues under our own initiative. We look to be a catalyst for positive CHANGE and make the world as better place.

Bernard comes from a communications background working for large multinational Advertising Agencys including George Patterson, Ogilvy & Mather, McCann Erickson, media brokers and is still actively engaged in the industry.

He was a member of the teams that launched or re launched new products and services that are now household names such as Dynamo, Spray N Wipe, Stay Free, Sure n Natural, Cottees Cordials and Conserves to name a few. Proudly,he was part of the team that helped the then 'up start' retail airline East West Airlines break down the two airline monopoly in Australia.

He left mainstream advertising to 'have a go' at addressing Australias status as skin cancer capital of the world and through R&D he initiated and funded Patented reactive dye stuffs that minimise UV ray penetration through light weight cotton. Bernard is credited as the founder and father of the global sun protective textile industry that has estimated annual retail sales in excess of US $500 million. See more http://www.rapelle.com.au

Being an educator and issue focused, he turned his attention to the reduction of needless animal destruction by producing a responsible pet ownership video to educate prospective pet owners on the requirements of responsible ownership. In this way, help the RSPCA to reduce the number of animals ending up on death row. Other issues he is involved in are Aged Care services, English language skills competency and Corporate and Social Responsibility education.
